Crow Pose (Bakasana) in Yoga

Felicia

Initially drawn to yoga at challenging time in my life, I was searching for a way to calm and settle my mind.

My love for yoga grew over the years exploring different styles, touching on the ancient history, philosophy and practicing consistently. I was introduced to Ashtanga and this is where it all came together for me. A moving meditation, flowing through the Ashtanga sequence to the rhythm of my breath.

Drawn to the physical repetition, that cultivates a stillness within and the practice to strengthen my body. A physical practice of yoga, integrating mind, body, and spirit.  I had never intended to teach but knowing the powerful benefits of yoga from my practice and the skills I had gained; I had a desire to share with adults and children. Completed 200YTT, 50hr KYTT, 150hr Mind,Body, Prana coach

FAQ's

Yes!  Many people think that they need to be flexible to learn yoga, but that’s like needing to play tennis before you take lessons. The practice of yoga will help you become more flexible. This newfound agility will be balanced by strength, coordination as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

Yes! You don’t need to be at a certain fitness level to learn yoga.  Yoga can help you gain strength, coordination as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

Just bring yourself, in comfortable clothing (see below) and maybe bring a bottle of water.

Wear whatever you are comfortable in and you can easily move and stretch in. some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms or shorts and a t shirt, other people active wear leggings and tops. It’s good to have clothes that keep you cool when you are active in yoga, but to bring a jumper for relaxation, when the body rapidly cools down. Some people also bring socks and a jumper (maybe even a small blanket) for the relaxation.

All the equipment, including mats, you need for class are in the studio. If you prefer to bring your own yoga mat that’s fine too.

When it comes to food and digestion, everyone is different but general rule try not to eat large meal within 2 hours of a class – if you must eat within 2 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best. Its recommended to be hydrated before a class so drink some water.

Ideally, please arrive at least 5 mins before class, the door is locked at the start of class. Sometimes people are late, I totally understand. If you are, please walk to the left double glass doors where you are able to be seen and you will be let in. If you are later than 10 mins I’m sorry but you won’t be let in.

We do take drop ins, see below. Classes are limited in space so it is necessary to book a place. If you miss a class you may be able to attend another one and the same block, or we may be able to carry it over to the next one. Contact me to discuss this.

There are limited numbers for drop in, so it’s recommended you book in to be sure you have a spot

You can reschedule or cancel your class up to 15 minutes before start. If you don’t reschedule or cancel you will be marked as “no show” (you will be paying for the class)
